I didn't want the colours to overwhelm the picture so I decided to use a white background and layer on top and it wouldn't be one of my layouts without some wood veneer and mist.

To apply for the DT you did have to make a layout using a provided colour scheme and as such I had not been able to share it as yet but now I can :) This was the colour combination.
I took this photo a while back at the butterfly house at Melbourne zoo and when I saw the colours I knew this would be the perfect picture to use.

I have always loved seeing confetti on a layout but have never had a go myself. So to tone down the yellow I decided that instead of just layering with vellum I would sew a little pocket and fill with confetti and I really liked how it turned out.
