This fortnight at Frosted Designs we are challenging you to use embossing on your project. I have chosen to do stamped embossing with a twist because although I do have a cuttlebug I don't use it, I used it a lot back when I was a cardmaker but haven't really found a way to bring the technique over to scrapbooking (not to self, sell cuttlebug).
Studio Calico Cork Chevrons from the Atlantic collection which I covered in Versamark Ink then dipped them into some gold Zing Embossing Powder. To emboss the little pieces I left them stuck to the plastic sheet and embossed them that way (if you do this be careful to keep the heat gun moving so you do not melt the plastic, alternatively you could hold them with tweezers).
I love this picture I snapped of Winston the other day, he is obsessed with going outside and stands up on his back legs trying to push the door open, which is firmly locked. (He is allowed to go outside into a custom made oversized cat run with has plants and trees and climbing things but apparently that is not good enough) I was actually taking a picture of a layout at the time taking advantage of the natural light so I was using my DSLR.
So now you have seen what I am have made head on over to the Frosted Designs Blog to play along, you can do dry embossing, stamping or even mix it up and use embellishments like I did. There is a great prize from Molossi for grabs.
Hope you have all had a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by,
